My name is Anya and I’m so glad you stopped by!
a little bit about me:
I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in the late ‘80s at the time of the Soviet Union. My family had an opportunity to come to the United States when I was 5 and because of the hardships in the USSR, we took the chance and came to the US!I grew up in the Midwest, living in small towns where we were practically the only “foreigners” in our community. Most of my childhood, I quickly assimilated to American culture so I could fit in amongst my peers and fashion was the way I could express my individuality. As I grew up, I lost my accent & some of my culture. I’ve always felt I was to Ukrainian for America, yet too American for my Ukrainian roots – truly a foreigner in all aspects!
My love for fashion and beauty really started in my teen years. I loved being able to express myself through fashion on a budget; but we never had the means to buy things full price so being frugal was the only way I could fuel my obsession.
When I turned 15 and got my first job, I loved being able to fund my own purchases and since then, I’ve loved being able to share all of my finds with my friends and family!
